Who are we? Why do we do what we do?
Our vision and goal
Our vision is to improve lives by helping elderly and disabled people to live well and independently for longer and to reduce stress in the lives of their families and carers. We want the world to be inclusive and for these products to be more easily accessible to more people. We want to achieve this by creating a one stop shop of the most helpful and high-quality products to help those live independently for as long as possible.
Why we’re here, in the words of the Managing Director.
“I have been designing products for elderly people and people living with disabilities since I joined our family business 15 years ago. In this time, I have come across many products from many different suppliers. Some retailers stock very functional products at very low prices that do a job, but I wouldn’t want them in my own home if there was a better alternative. Others have a very limited and specialised product range meaning that someone would have to go to several retail destinations to get all the relevant products. I didn’t feel that there was anywhere to get exceptional customer service. I mean good old fashioned human centred customer service by people who care, and I wanted to make a difference. So, Story and Sons was born.
Story and Sons brings together the best range of products for elderly and disabled people, for people living with visual impairment, dementia, memory loss, mobility issues and arthritis among many, many other conditions. We combine this with exemplary customer service always and to everyone and we keep caring at the forefront of everything that we do.”
Ravencourt's New Automated Lockable Pill Dispenser
Ravencourt Living have developed the Pippa Tipper a brand-new automated lockable pill dispenser. Designed alongside Pipa Scrimshaw (Specialist Pharmacy Technician – Domiciliary Medicines Management) from Cambridgeshire NHS trust. Perfect for anyone living with dementia, visual impairment or learning difficulties.
The carer will set the alarm at the appropriate times and days, then load the carousel with the pills that will be dispensed. The Pippa Tipper plays a melody or recorded message constantly until its tipped. This is supplied with both clear and opaque lids to suit the users needs.
