I'm Oli Story.

I have been designing products for elderly people and people living with disabilities since I joined our UK family business 15 years ago. In this time, I have come across many products from many different suppliers. Some retailers stock very functional products at very low prices that do a job, but I wouldn’t want them in my own home if there was a better alternative. Others have a very limited and specialised product range meaning that someone would have to go to several retail destinations to get all the relevant products. I didn’t feel that there was anywhere to get exceptional customer service. I mean good old-fashioned human-centred customer service by people who care, and I wanted to make a difference. So, Story and Sons was born.

Story and Sons brings together the best range of products for elderly and disabled people, for people living with visual impairment, dementia, memory loss, mobility issues and arthritis among many, many other conditions. We combine this with exemplary customer service always and to everyone, and we keep caring at the forefront of everything that we do.

 

Our products

We only stock the best products, not all the products. If a product is not good enough for our own families, then it’s not good enough for our customers and their families.  We are always looking to add products to our range which really help people in their daily lives.

 

How we treat our customers

Since launching Story and Sons, our customers have been amazing and we are very grateful to them. Our team are on first name terms with many of our customers and have developed fantastic relationships. It’s very important to us that we don’t sell products that aren’t suitable for the individual.

Here are some of the ways we try to provide the very best customer service:

  • We offer advice on product choices by live chat, telephone and email. 
  • We can talk you through the whole process and even show you products on video call before you buy.
  • Our website is designed to be easy to navigate with plenty of useful information from our resident Occupational Therapist Caroline Hayden Wright.
  • Our after care is also an area that we give plenty of attention to. We can help with the setup of products by telephone or video call. If anything isn’t right, you can send the product back to us freepost for a full refund.

Our vision is to improve lives by helping elderly and disabled people to live well and independently for longer and to reduce stress in the lives of their families and carers. We want the world to be inclusive and for these products to be more easily accessible to more people.
