A way for people living with dementia, poor coordination or visual impairment to operate a radio with ease. People living with dementia and their carers reported to us the challenges they face in continuing to enjoy listening to the radio.
Developed in partnership with Alzheimer's Society, the Ravencourt Living One Button Radio allows people living with dementia, poor coordination or visual impairment to operate a radio with ease. Operating with just the push of a button, you can say goodbye to the days of frustration of losing your favourite radio station.
After conducting research, we discovered that many individuals stop using their radios due to the complexity of controls and the ease with which they can accidentally de-tune, leading to distressing white noise between stations. This One Button Radio was designed based on feedback from people living with dementia and their careers and solves this with its one-button operation.
Like any other radio, it features AM and FM radio stations where you can choose from up to 30 different channels.
The Ravencourt Living One Button Radio has a stylish yet traditional aesthetic and hides all the buttons.
